02 — The player CV · Direction A · palette trial P1 / P5 / P6

The proof
artefact.

The player profile and the public CV are the two faces of the same object — the most-shared surface FLOODLIT has, and the one a club judges the whole product by. This board wears them both in Direction A: machined plates, the minted seal, the sworn mono witness. Two decisions are carried in and stated, not smuggled: the pillar chart is the RadialBloom (board 07's verdict — ignition kept, benchmark ring on, sworn values beneath), and the palette is on trial — P1 Night Match against P5 Hot Strobe and P6 Ultraviolet, on real dense content, not swatches. Switch below; the call is at the bottom.

Adopt now Needs work Aspirational — every section carries one.

restated where they're spent

DECISION / 01

The bloom is the hero

Board 07's call, implemented here verbatim: the shipped RadialBloom, ignition kept, benchmark dashed ring on everywhere ("against what?" answered in the figure), and the sworn-values ledger beneath it so the club never reads around a curve. The iris is retired.

DECISION / 02

Two faces, one artefact

The in-app profile (the player's own screen) and the public dossier at floodlit.app/v/… (what the club opens) are designed as one object with two doors — same data, same cast, different ceremony. The dossier gets a desktop treatment: clubs read it on big screens.

DECISION / 03

Colour on trial

Three schemes survive from board 01. Swatches proved nothing — hot pink looks confident on a chip. Here they carry real density: a bloom, a seal, ramps, ledgers, deltas. The winner is named below, with the evidence.

  • 2The credential is a machined object — bezel, plate, seal, odometer. The seal stamps once, glints once, then stills. Adopt now
  • 3The bloom, per the board-07 verdict — ignition intact, benchmark ring drawn ("---- pool avg 7.3"). Shape for the scout, in the figure the owner already loves. Adopt now
  • 4The sworn-values ledger in the same glance — exact value plus signed delta per pillar, mono and tabular. The club's half of the board-07 verdict, no curve-reading required. Adopt now

  • 6The dossier keeps its costume, re-machined. Masthead, foil rule, guilloché, ref — the "official record" signals survive, but as plate and light, not skeuomorph paper. Adopt now
  • 7The verification banner is the trust line — lit dot, scout's name, odometer 7.8, and the average-of-3 disclosure beside it. Pin disclosure stated, never deduced (owner's call, kept verbatim). Adopt now

The CV is opened on club desktops — a recruitment analyst's second monitor, a chairman's printout. The public page gets a two-column treatment: the document on the left, the evidence on the right — bloom, sworn values, cited moments. The seal and the 7.8 carry across; nothing is re-explained.

Why two columnsOn a phone the dossier is a scroll; on a desktop it is a reading pair — the document on the left answers "what is claimed", the evidence rail on the right answers "says who, against what". The bloom ignites once on first view, right of the fold's centre, and the sworn-values ledger sits under it where a club's eye lands next. The one orange commit on this page is Share. Adopt now

The palette trial · judged on density

Three action colours,
one sworn document

Switch the scheme (bottom bar) and watch the whole artefact re-argue itself — bloom ramp, seal, ramp bars, the one commit. Swatches lied; this surface is the test. The call:

P1 · Night Match

Wins here. The dossier is a document of record, and P1 is the only scheme where everything has its own band: warm flood for truth, ember for exceptional, orange for exactly one commit. On this density the separation is not aesthetic, it is legibility under argument — the −0.4 warn delta, the 84th-pct ember tier, and the Share pill never once compete for the same pixel of attention.

● Ship P1 on the CV

P5 · Hot Strobe

Strong, and loses on one fight. Pink owns the commit beautifully — Share has never looked better. But the ramp's hot end (pink) now sits adjacent to danger red-shifted-orange and the ember "elite" tier, and on the metrics + delta ledger the eye cannot sort exceptional from action from warning at a glance. On a marketing page P5 wins; on a sworn document it spends its loudest colour on decoration-adjacent data.

● Keep for brand/social surfaces

P6 · Ultraviolet

The most futuristic, the least sworn. Cyan-on-violet makes the bloom look like telemetry — genuinely stunning — but the whole temperature of trust changes: flood becomes ice, the seal's gold floats unmoored as the last warm object, and the document reads generated, not issued. A scouting credential should feel like a Tuesday night in Hertfordshire, not a keynote.

● Keep for the data-future pitch deck

The call, and whyP1 Night Match wins the CV. The trial was fair — both challengers are fully worked here, nothing broken in any scheme — and both lose on the same grounds: this surface is a proof artefact, and proof reads warm. P5's pink fights the data (three hot hues for three different meanings); P6's cyan turns testimony into telemetry. P1 keeps the temperature separation the ledger was built on: warm light = truth, ember = exceptional, orange = the single thing you may do. Adopt now

The Light Ledger · broken honestly

What this surface breaks,
and what it keeps

Same discipline as board 01: the ledger is owner-ratified law for the shipped app; every deviation here is a question for review, logged with its case.

EntryThe law todayWhat this board does — and the case for itTag
L5/L7 · ignitionRadial bloom fires once per report; seal stamps once.Kept, unaltered — on a second surface. The desktop CV ignites the bloom once on first view; the seal stamps once per document. The public page previously had no ceremony at all (VerifyPage renders the bloom; the CV didn't) — the proof artefact now arrives like one. Replay is board chrome, not product.Adopt now
Benchmark ringThe bloom's dashed benchmark exists in the component but is not universal. On, everywhere the bloom renders. "Against what?" is the club's first question; the dashed pool ring answers it inside the figure instead of in a caption. Logged because it spends slate ink on every bloom — a ration increase, argued on board 07, confirmed here.Adopt now
Sworn valuesThe CV shows pillar numerals as a four-cell grid; the profile shows them curved on the bloom.Adds the mono ledger under the bloom (profile + desktop CV): exact value plus signed delta per pillar. New ink on the profile screen — justified as the club-reader half of the board-07 verdict; the curved labels alone made the club transcribe around a circle.Adopt now
Dossier chromeGuilloché, foil rule, paper costume — skeuomorph "official document".Re-machined, not removed. The costume survives (masthead, ref, foil, guilloché) because print-and-hand-to-a-chairman is a real use — but it is rebuilt in plate, hairline and light, so the document belongs to the same physics as the app that issued it.Adopt now
Minutes, not G+A%Owner call 2026-07-11: senior minutes are the fourth headline stat.Kept verbatim — 412′ last 5 sits in the scoreboard and the dossier's season grid. Logged to confirm the redesign didn't quietly re-litigate a settled call.Adopt now
Pillar row on the documentThe dossier carries the four pillar scores as a grid of numerals.Kept as numerals, not replaced by the bloom. A printed document cannot ignite; the ruled four-cell row is the print-honest form, with the full bloom one tap away on screen. This is the two-faces answer without the flip's export problem (board 07, idea 06).Needs work
New · desktop dossierThe public CV is the phone layout widened; no desktop treatment exists.Requests a new row. A two-column reading pair — document left, evidence rail right — for the surface clubs actually open at a desk. New layout law, owner signature needed.Aspirational
